Grape Breeder for Sun World International LLC. Develop new seedless table grape varieties by
crossing elite parents and selecting desired advanced new grape accessions. Focus on commercial
quality attributes such as berry size and cluster structure, eating quality and resistance to powdery
mildew.
1996 - 2001
Research Assistant in the Department for Fruit Tree Breeding and Genetics, Agricultural Research
Organization, Volcani Center, Ministry of Agriculture. Working on physiology of irrigation and nutrition
in grapevine. Small scale wine making and wine tasting of research wines. Member of the wine tasting
panel of the “Wine” magazine.
1995 - 1996
Research Assistant in the Department for Fruit Tree Breeding and Genetics, Agricultural Research
Organization, Volcani Center, Ministry of Agriculture. Working on grapevine physiology (bud
dormancy) and on developing molecular markers (RAPD) in Citrus. Member of the wine tasting panel,
of the Israel Wine Institute.
1994 - 1995
Post Doctoral Associate at the Dept. Horticultural Sciences, Cornell University, Geneva, New York,
Working with Prof. Reisch on grape embryogenesis and biolistic transformation.
1990 - 1994
Developing molecular genetic markers in grapes, using PCR procedures, aimed at establishing linkage
with seedlessness. Member of the wine tasting panel, of the Israel Wine Institute
1988-1990
Specializing in molecular genetics, starting a RFLP program for grape breeding.
1983-1988
Research Assistant in the Department for Fruit Tree Breeding and Genetics, Agricultural Research
Organization, Volcani Center, Ministry of Agriculture. Specialising in almond, peach and apricot
breeding. Involved in the wine grape breeding program, and assisting in data analysis of the table grape
breeding program.

Left the kibbutz and moved with family to Rehovot.

Head of the subtropical and vine growers subcommittee of the Regional Horticultural Council of the
Golan.

Horticultural Supervisor for all the plantations of the Jewish Agency in the entire Southern Golan (on loan
from the kibbutz).
